Do Not Track (DNT) Signal
We honor the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When we detect that your browser is sending a DNT signal:
- We do not load any third-party tracking scripts.
- We do not set any non-essential cookies.
- We do not transmit your browsing behavior to any third-party analytics or advertising platforms.
- We process only the minimum data necessary to deliver the Services you request.
Our Tracking Practices
Regardless of your DNT setting, our baseline practices are privacy-respecting:
- No third-party advertising trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cross-site tracking tools.
- No data brokers. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to data brokers or advertising networks.
- No cross-site tracking. We do not track your activity across other websites.
- No fingerprinting. We do not use browser fingerprinting techniques to identify you.
- Minimal cookies. We use only essential cookies required for site functionality (WordPress session management).
Birth Data Privacy
Birth data you submit for chart generation (name, date, time, location) is:
- Processed in real-time for astronomical calculations.
- Not stored permanently unless you explicitly create an account.
- Never shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes.
- Never used to verify or infer your real identity.
Only the city name is sent to our geographic lookup service (GeoNames) to obtain coordinates for chart calculations. No personal information accompanies this request.
Email Communications
If you subscribe to our waitlist, your email address is stored securely and used solely for product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. We do not share your email with third parties.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We also respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which communicates your privacy preferences under regulations including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How to Enable Do Not Track
You can enable DNT in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Send a “Do Not Track” request
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Send websites a “Do Not Track” signal
- Safari: Safari honors privacy protections by default through Intelligent Tracking Prevention
